Imagine a religion that embraces many different beliefs… including yours.

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting our website.

We hope you will visit us this Sunday morning!

We are a theologically diverse congregation. Our shared worship is framed around our belief that how we live together - how we take care of each other and the earth - is critically important, and we strive to live our lives guided by compassion and a commitment to social justice. We also commit to each other that we will respect and support each person's sincere, responsible search for truth and meaning, and we recognize that this is an ever-evolving journey. We are an ethical and liberal religious community dedicated to promoting the ongoing search for truth and to affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.

We welcome all who would like to be part of a caring, open-minded, spiritual community.

Our Services

Please join us on Sunday mornings for services from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Children have religious education classes at the same time. Everyone is invited to stay after the service for light refreshments and conversation. Although we do not hold Sunday services in the summer (mid June to late August) please check our News & Events page for summer activities. This year services will resume on August 30.

Upcoming Services

Sunday, February 5 (10:45 a.m.)
Rev Terry Ellen:
"Mystics With Hands"

That's who we UU's are, says Rev. Tom Owens- Toule, and I find it a succinct summary of the necessary and complementary two directions of religion, of spirituality -- the journey within and the journey outward. Skip one and the other withers. Work on both and life blossoms. It's a time-tested, simple truth worthy of consideration and celebration.

Sunday, February 12 (10:45 a.m.)
Rev. Phyllis Hubbell:
"Love and Marriage"

Love and marriage, the old Frank Sinatra song tells us, "go together like a horse and carriage." Yet the State of Maryland denies many loving couples the right to marry. Today, Rev. Hubbell shares the stories that have made her a passionate advocate for same gender marriage.

Rev. Hubbell and her husband, Rev. John Manwell, serve as consulting ministers with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun.

Sunday, February 19 (10:45 a.m.)
Ilene Evans:
"African American Stories,
Songs and Games (Intergenerational Service)"

Enjoy participating in the African Oral Tradition in fun interactive folktales, rhythms, and rhymes from African American culture. Ilene Evans performs, teaches, and lectures throughout the United States and overseas, incorporating a range of arts including dance, music, drama, and storytelling. She resides in West Virginia and is co-founder of Voices from the Earth, a non-profit arts organization.

Sunday, February 26 (10:45 a.m.)
Rob Keithan:
"Learn and Let Learn:
Lessons from Flying Trapeze"

Whether at home, work, or play, life gives us endless opportunities to learn and to support learning. When are we the student, and when the teacher? This sermon will look at how we learn, how we help others, and why it matters.
